Organised rides are scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday as per the following table.
There is a selection of rides to choose from on Tuesday, and one on Wednesday.
However, riders may choose to ride whenever and whatever route they choose but there will be limited support.
Ride | Comment | Km | Date/Time |
---|---|---|---|
Tuesday | (Support on request) | ||

Mt Donna Buang – Up and back | Not for the faint hearted. 17km 1,100m climb followed by downhill. All good sealed surface. Those wanting a hill climb but not so confident, ride to Cement Creek car park (7km 500m). | 34 | 8:30am |
Update It’s unlike we can get to the end of the trail as it has many fallen trees across the track for the last 2.5 kms, so an alternative has been added below. | |||
O’Shannessy Woori Yallock | Replacement for the O’Shannessy Aqueduct. Transport will be provided to the start; unless you want to test your hill climbing ability. We’ll ride just past half way to Dee Rd and ride down to the Warburton trail then on to Woori Yallock. | 45 | 9 am |
Warburton Rail Trail | Ride the Lilydale-Warburton Rail trail from Warburton to Woori Yallock for a coffee and pie at the Bakery. A fairly flat ride on a good gravel / granitic sand trail. | 38 | 9 am |
Mt Donna Buang – Downhill | Transport will be provided to the Summit then ride the loop downhill. This has gravel sections. Wider tyres preferred. | 40 | 10am |
Wednesday | |||
Warburton Noojee | Road ride. A lead vehicle and Sag wagon will be provided. There’s a significant hill halfway to Noojee. The Sag will transport riders up this unless you wish to ride. Lunch provided at Noojee. | 103 | 8 am |
Strong Legs | Those with strong legs may choose another hill on the old Warburton Rd for the last few kilometers. | 103 | 8am |
Whenever you choose | |||
Martyr Road | Short loop with 50m hill climb at 20% | 6 | |
